William Howard Taft Signed War Department Card

This large 3 5/8 x 4 7/8 card has a nice big signature of William Howard Taft signed in his characteristic manner as "Wm. H. Taft." Taft served as head of the War Department as a result of his appointment by President Theodore Roosevelt starting on February 1, 1904 and ending on June 30, 1908. He resigned to campaign for President of the United States with Roosevelt's vigorous endorsement and he was elected that year.

This is a nice collectible autographed by the only person to head two branches of the United States government as President of the United States and Chief Justice of the United States.
