Edmund Burke's "Reflections on the Revolution in France" and Thomas Paine's "The Rights of Man" Bound Together In Full Leather With Original Boards and New Fine Hand Tooled Leather Spine
Burke's famous Reflections on the Revolution in France included in this volume is a 1790 second edition published in London (See more description of this edition and another volume of it bound alone, here) and Paine's contribution, Rights of Man, being an Answer to Mr. Burke's Attack on the French Revolution, is a 1791 third edition also published in London. The book is in great condition and will look beautiful in anyone's library or living room bookshelves. The great looking spine with new labels and re-backing was recently executed by Green Dragon Bindery utilizing the original old leather boards. The Burke title page has the name and address of R. Leverington, Charles Sq., Hoxton, which is in London and Leverington's armorial bookplate composed of rabbits is on the verso of the title page. This is a very rare work by the most famous supporter and detractor of the French Revolution in early editions while the Revolution was still evolving, and would be a valuable addition to any fine library.
