This 9 1/2 inch square glass plate pictures Ulysses S. Grant in his Civil War General's uniform. Below his portrait gives his name "GEN. ULYSSES S. GRANT" and above the portrait it says "THE PATRIOT AND SOLDIER." Ted Hake's political memorabilia pricing guide Book III identifies this item as # 3007 and the 2004 price update lists this at $75. The listing in Hake and Grant pictured in his General's uniform suggests that the plate was issued in 1868 during the Presidential election campaign. Price: $60
